Service
Senior house cleaning in Brooksville and Hernando County.
Gentle, patient cleaning for older adults living independently or with family. Same trained crew, calmer pace, low-fragrance products on request, and a steady schedule the household can rely on.
Owned by an ISSA-certified Professional House Cleaning Technician, BroomShine treats senior accounts as the most important kind of recurring clean we run. The home stays consistent, the visit is predictable, and you always know who is coming.
What's included on every visit
- Kitchen surfaces, sinks, stovetop, and exterior of appliances
- Bathrooms: tubs, showers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, and grab-bar wipe-down
- Bedrooms: dusting, surfaces, linens changed if requested
- Living areas: dusting, vacuum, wipe-down, attention to high-touch surfaces
- All accessible floors swept, vacuumed, and mopped
- Trash removed and bins relined
- General tidy of visible clutter — we never reorganize personal items
- Light deodorizing of common areas to keep the home smelling fresh
How we work in a senior home
- Calmer pace. No rushing. We talk through what we're doing if the resident wants to follow along.
- Low-fragrance options. We swap to low-fragrance or eco-conscious products on request — useful for respiratory sensitivities, allergies, oxygen use, or pets in the home.
- Mobility-aware. We work around walkers, wheelchairs, lift chairs, oxygen lines, and medical equipment. Floors stay dry where it matters; cords stay out of the way.
- Consistent crew. Same cleaner whenever scheduling allows — familiarity matters.
- Family communication. An adult child or POA can schedule, pay, and be the point of contact while we still treat the resident as the customer.
- Light deodorizing. Pet-area refresh and general home deodorizing are part of every visit. We don't promise heavy smoke remediation or biohazard cleanup.
Not included by default
We are a residential cleaning company, not a home health agency. We do not provide:
- Personal care, bathing, dressing, or medication assistance
- Companionship visits or meal prep beyond the kitchen clean
- Mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, or hoarding remediation
- Lifting, moving heavy furniture, or repair work
If you need those services we are happy to refer when we know a good local provider.
Best for
Independent older adults who want a clean home without the physical toll of doing it themselves; family members coordinating cleaning for a parent who lives nearby or out of town; assisted-living residents whose facility doesn't include in-unit cleaning; and anyone whose health makes a low-fragrance, patient cleaning visit the right call.
Pricing
Same $50/hour guide rate as our other residential services. Most senior visits are 2 to 3 hours. See pricing for full details, or request a free quote and we will respond within one business day.
Senior cleaning FAQ
How is senior cleaning different from a routine clean?
It's the same checklist with a different posture. We work at a calmer pace, talk through what we're doing, use low-fragrance products on request, and stay aware of mobility around walkers, wheelchairs, oxygen, and pets. The crew is the same on every visit whenever scheduling allows.
Can a family member set up the visits on behalf of a parent?
Yes. Many of our senior accounts are scheduled and paid for by an adult child living elsewhere. We can communicate with the family member while still treating the resident as the customer in their home.
Do you use eco-friendly or low-fragrance products?
Yes, on request. We can swap to low-fragrance or eco-conscious products when respiratory sensitivities, allergies, or pets in the home make that the right call.
Will it always be the same cleaner?
We aim for consistent crew on every visit — familiarity matters more for senior accounts than for any other service we run. Occasional substitutions happen for time off; the same checklist applies.
How much does senior cleaning cost?
Our guide rate is $50 per hour per cleaner — same as our other residential services. Most senior visits are 2 to 3 hours. See the pricing page for full details.
